What are the downsides of MyChart? ›

3) Test results with an exclamation next to them indicate that a test result is outside of reference range. A test marked as outside of reference range is not always a reason for concern. Please discuss with your provider.

If your blood counts fall outside of the normal range, which is shown in the “Reference interval” column, their values will be reported in the “Flag” column with an 'L' for low and an 'H' for high. One of the main disadvantages is that they can be misleading, confusing, or inaccurate if they are not designed, labeled, or interpreted correctly. They can also create bias or distortion, as you can manipulate the data or the visual elements to emphasize or hide certain aspects.

Access to information is controlled through secure activation codes, personal usernames, and passwords. Each person controls their password, and the account must be accessed using that password. On the MyChart mobile app, you can also log in using face ID or fingerprint login.
